Each necklace begins with freshly bloomed Queen Anne's Lace, hand dyed in an array of colors. The tiny clusters are then dried, pressed, and each floret is carefully snipped off to be paired with other shades or natural elements - creating something new and unique each time. The tiny blooms are meticulously scattered inside of geometric frames and sealed with multiple layers of glossy (non-toxic) jewelry grade resin. The finished piece is a protected collection of miniature florals, with no two pieces being exactly alike.
All metalwork is done in studio using quality gold-fill materials and classic metalsmithing techniques. Each frame is carefully soldered together and then forged into shape by hand. The piece is then sanded, polished, and placed in a jewelry tumbler for added strength and shine. The pendant is attached to a thin gold-filled cable chain.
This particular piece has subtle gold mica flakes scattered in, that shimmer when you move the piece around.
The pendant measures approximately 20 x 20mm.
The chain length is 20 inches.
Although this piece is waterproof, I would recommend to avoid submerging your jewelry in water when possible, and store in a dry environment away from direct sunlight. You may clean you piece with clear soap and water, then carefully pat dry. Gold-fill is non tarnishing.
